Notate is a native macOS app for capturing and annotating anything on your screen, whether still or in motion. Freeze menus, hover states, and focus states before they disappear, or record a flow and scrub frame by frame to pinpoint animation and UI bugs.

Add numbered comments, arrows, and shapes with simple gestures, then export a clean annotated image or structured Markdown for teammates and coding agents. Notate also supports smart window cropping, visually identical frame collapsing, and portable .notate sessions for later editing.
